Lesson 1 - Overview of Process of Literature Circles
Objective: Students will be able to list the 5 roles of literature circles and log onto Kidblog website.
Materials:
Internet Access
Projector
Book Blogs Screencast (below)
KidBlog Tutorial (below)
Procedure:
1. Students will first view the presentation on the overview of literature circles. As the teacher, be sure to view first to be able to answer questions or address possible misconceptions you anticipate with your students. You may also want to have the book choices available at this point to build excitement and anticipation
2. Explain that Kidblog will be their new "notebook" and have them practice accessing Kidblog with the tutorial provided.
Assessment:
Students should be able to recall all 5 roles they will need to perform at the end of the lesson and access Kidblog independently.
